Humbrol Colour Charts

Later version

These were published by Humbrol and included in the kits from 1960 onwards. They show the full range of colours available for Railway Modellers, including some Canadian Liveries. Each colour is numbered and these numbers are referred to by Kitmaster in their instruction sheets. There were two editions of this "Kitmaster Colour Chart". Early editions, i.e. up to May 1961, do not show No. 134 SNCF Green, whilst those from August 1961 onwards include this colour. From this date, Humbrol advertised that "...one is included in every kit...". We can speculate that this colour was introduced partly in response to the Kitmaster release of the SNCF Mountain Locomotive, as no other proprietary kits of French rolling stock existed.
